Cabarete was part of the celebration of the International Surfing Day, Wind Day, the Wold Ocean Day and the Day Again Desertification and Dry this past June. Our Surf School join every year these kind of activities because are fundamental for the preservation of our surf beaches, Swells, wind, land and our Families. Many Surf Camp used their surf blogs and social media to post their activities that day. In conjuntion we also got involve with some beach cleaning around Puerto Plata Dominican Republic, surf Sessions and BBQ lunches. We hope that Surf Schools and travel surfers in the Caribbean and world understand the meaning of those important days, that way we contribute to keep a better planet throught surfing!
Cabarete Surfing season it has been very active with the wind swells that are hitting the Dominican Republic in summer time 2015. Waves around Puerto Plata province keep atracting surfers travelers from all levels to this island. Some of these turists select their own accommodation or stay in our surf camp located in town between kite beach and down town Cabarete. We will like to thanks all our followers for the support they’ve been giving to our surf school and of course, wishing to keep on surfing and the best surf everywhere they travel around the world or in the Caribbean.

Peru’s Miluska Tello has won the 2015 Rip Curl Pro Junior Series after defeating Lorena Fica of Chile 5.84 to 10.00 at San Bartolo beach in Lima, Peru. Miluska, the local, used her home break knowledge to pick off the best waves and unleash a wicked series of backhand snaps.
In the men’s division Brazilian Deivid Silva ousted Peruvian Juninho Urcia to claim the crown. The event lasted three days at the hot spot of San Bartolo in varying conditions. Both surfers take home a large chunk of Pro Junior series points as the tour moves on to three more junior South American stops.
